Kagayaki Aka Tame-nuri on Ranga M4C Fountain Pen
Burnished (polished) to a mirror finish, the luster from Masaaki-san's tame-nuri technique is irrefutable. Peer into the depths of the urushi through the outer clear coat where the meticulous application of lacquering layer-by layer can be understood. The undertones glimmer at just the right angles and will glow brighter with age. Aka (meaning red in Japanese) is described here to be Kagayaki (brilliance/radiance).
